Artificial intelligence: Present trends and its future

Melanie Gallagher has spent her entire career at the forefront of back office innovation. First at Apple, where she forecasted operating expenses and headcount, and then at Intuit where she has spent the last 15 years driving corporate finance efficiency.

Today she's responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring global compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Addressing the company's need for automated expense report audits, Melanie dove right into the AppZen platform. Not only did she start saving Intuit hundreds of thousands of dollars in T&E leakage, she went one step further.

Melanie used the findings from AppZen to create a Consequence Management program at Intuit. She worked with managers and Human Resources across the organization to create standardized policies relating to expense report conduct. Thanks to her work, the company has uniform expectations of conduct and consequences around the world. She tells her own story below.
